Peter Frankopan is Professor of Global History at Oxford University. Often referred to as a ‘rock star historian’ (BBC, Der Spiegel), Peter’s books include The Silk Roads: A New History of the World (a Sunday Times #1 Bestseller, New York Times Bestseller, and Sunday Times Book of the Decade); The New Silk Roads: The Present and Future of the World; and most recently The Earth Transformed: An Untold History, a #2 Bestseller which was kept off the top spot by a book about air fryers. The Tenth anniversary edition of The Silk Roads was published in the summer of 2025.
