Luke Johnson is a director and co-owner of Gail’s bakeries, Brompton Bicycles, and Brighton Pier Group PLC. He also owns Curious Brewery, various e-commerce businesses, and the All Star Lanes bowling business. He served as chairman of PizzaExpress, Channel 4 Television and The Institute of Cancer Research. He was also co-owner of The Ivy, Giraffe and Strada restaurants. He wrote a weekly column on business for 20 years in The Sunday Times, The Financial Times and then The Sunday Times, and has written six books, mostly about business. He serves as chairman of The Almeida Theatre.
