Misha Glenny is a historian and Emmy-winning broadcaster who is the presenter of Radio 4’s In Our Time. He was the BBC’s Central Europe Correspondent during the revolutions in Eastern Europe and the wars in the former Yugoslavia. He is also the author of several best-selling books including McMafia, which was turned into a successful TV Drama, as well as DarkMarket: How Hackers Became the New Mafia. He has also written the only single-volume narrative history of the modern Balkans. He has taught at the LSE, Columbia University and University College London and more recently spent four years in Vienna as the Rector of the Institute for Human Sciences.
