Cliveden Literary Festival FAQs

When will tickets be available?
Priority tickets to our subscribers will go on sale on June 28th 2019. Click here to register
Tickets go on general sale on July 1st 2019.
Prices include VAT and are subject to a booking fee at the time of purchase.

Is there a student discount?
School children, students and student card holders will receive a 50% discount on the above prices.

Is there a senior citizens discount?
We do not offer a senior citizens discount.

What does the ticket price include?

  • Access to all the events on the day of entry
  • Access to the Cliveden Estate
  • An annual subscription to the digital edition of Tatler magazine at the discounted rate of £12
  • VAT at 20%

Can I buy tickets for individual sessions?
No, tickets can only be purchased for either the Saturday, Sunday or the whole weekend.

How do I ensure I can attend the sessions that interest me most?
The best way to ensure a seat at any of the sessions is to get there early. Seating is allocated on a first-come first-served basis so please ensure you arrive in good time to avoid disappointment.

I’ve made a mistake on my ticket booking.  How do I rectify it?
You should be able to alter your booking on the Eventbrite website. Click the link on your ticket confirmation email. Alternatively please email the Festival Office on info@clivedenliteraryfestival.org

I am no longer able to attend the Festival.  Can I cancel my ticket?
Tickets are non-refundable, however you can transfer your ticket to another person.  You can do this online or via the Festival Office.

Will I be allowed to leave and re-enter the Festival?
Yes, but please display your Festival badge at all times to ensure re-entry to the site.

What time is the first shuttle from the car park to the Festival?
The first shuttle on both days is at 8.30am.

What time is the last shuttle to the Festival parking?
The last shuttle to the car park departs from the Festival at 7.30pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday.

Is there disabled parking?
There are designated reserved parking bays available on the Grand Avenue close to the main entrance.  Spaces are bookable in advance.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes. Please note that glass bottles are not allowed to be brought onto the festival site.

Will there be cashpoints on site?
No, there are no cashpoints on site.  There will be facilities to use your credit/debit card at the Festival but please bring any cash that you might need with you.

What access provisions have been made for disabled visitors?

  • There are access ramps for steps into the main House.
  • Accessible toilets will be available beside the Astor Grill Courtyard and behind the National Trust Orangery Cafe.
  • Hearing loops will be available in the Arts Club stage.

Where are the toilet facilities at the Festival?
Male, female and disabled toilets are available adjacent to the Arts Club stage and The Astor Grill Bar.  There are also facilities next to the National Trust Orangery Café, which is a short walk from the Festival grounds.

Is there a bookshop?
Yes, John Sandoe (Books) Ltd will be running the Festival bookshop, located in the Motor House, adjacent to the Astor Grill Bar and courtyard.

Will there be any book signings?
Authors will be signing copies of their books at the Festival bookshop after their talks.

Will there be an opportunity to meet the speakers?
Yes, at the book signings at the Festival bookshop.

Is there WiFi at the Festival?
Yes, details will be available at our Information Desk.

Are dogs allowed at the Festival?
Registered guide dogs or hearing dogs are welcome. 

Are there any prohibited items?
Guests are prohibited from bringing drones, unauthorised film equipment, illegal substances and disposable BBQ’s to the Festival.
