Mark Rosenblatt

Mark is a writer and director for stage and screen.

His debut play Giant, starring John Lithgow as Roald Dahl, premiered in 2024 at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs before transferring to the West End in Spring 2025. Giant won the 2025 Olivier Award and Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Play as well as Oliviers for Best Actor (John Lithgow) and Best Supporting Actor (Elliot Levey). Mark also won the 2025 Critics’ Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright.

Mark has worked as a theatre director across the UK and internationally since 1998. He was Associate Director at Leeds Playhouse (2013-17) and Associate at the National Theatre Studio (2011-13). For screen, he co-wrote the feature film Making Noise Quietly and wrote/directed the Oscar long-listed short film Ganef.
