Anne Somerset’s most recent book is Queen Victoria and her Prime Ministers: a Personal History. Her other books include Ladies-in-Waiting: from the Tudors to the Present Day; Unnatural Murder: Poison at the Court of James I, (shortlisted for the Crime Writers’ Association Gold Dagger for non-fiction); and an acclaimed biography of Elizabeth I. In 2013 Queen Anne: the Politics of Passion was awarded the Elizabeth Longford Prize for Historical Biography.
