Albert Read is a writer and media executive, having spent his career working at the intersection of business and creativity. He is the former Managing Director of Condé Nast in the UK, as well as overseeing operations in Asia and Europe. His first book, The Imagination Muscle, a non-fiction work on the nature of creativity, was published to wide acclaim in the UK and the US. The Economist described it as ‘a beautifully written meditation … a moving hymn to creativity’ and The Spectator as ‘super sharp…brimming with big ideas. An extraordinary book.’ He studied Classics at New College, Oxford and has an MBA from INSEAD.
