Sue Stuart-Smith is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist who worked in the NHS for many years, becoming the lead clinician for psychotherapy in Hertfordshire. Her bestselling book, The Well Gardened Mind (2020), analyses the relationship between gardening, nature connection and mental health and was a Times and Sunday Times book of the year. It has since been translated into eighteen languages. Along with her husband Tom, she founded The Serge Hill Project for Gardening, Creativity and Health, a not-for-profit initiative based on the understanding that working with nature can radically transform people’s lives.
