Edward Chisholm was born in Dorset, England, and moved to Paris in 2012 where he worked all manner of low-paid jobs while trying to build a career as a writer. His bestselling memoir, A Waiter in Paris, has been translated into several languages and is soon to become a major motion picture. His second book, Murder in Paris ’68, is a work of narrative non-fiction that used access to classified archives to explore the still-unsolved Markovic Affair, which spanned the worlds of cinema, crime and politics and almost brought down De Gaulle’s government. Now Chisholm makes his living as an author and screenwriter, based in Switzerland. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Telegraph Magazine and Financial Times Magazine.
